A Diverse Group of Durham's Children Growing Up Together

First Presbyterian Day School was first organized in 1970 by the First Presbyterian Church of Durham. We are a non-profit and non-sectarian organization.

From the start, the vision of FPDS has been that all children in our community have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential by accessing high-quality care and education in a program that seeks and values diversity.

We fulfill this vision by ensuring access to high-quality childcare and education for children from birth through five-years-old in an intentionally diverse community of children, families, and teachers. We prepare children to be good citizens by helping them understand and celebrate our differences, recognize our common humanity, and have compassion for others.
